Intelligent Access Restrictor

n
The system will maintain control over the number of persons entering into a room. The main element in this circuit is a PIC 16F84A microcontroller. Light dependant resistor (LDR) is used as the detector. Laser beam is allowed to fall on the LDR in the normal condition. The LDR is connected to one of the inputs of a comparator. So in the absence of light the comparator output changes and which in turn gives interrupt to the microcontroller. Upon receiving this signal the micro controller takes calculations.

This LDR Laser arrangement can be placed in the entrance and exist. According to the signal, the controller triggers the counter circuit. i. e. if he signal comes from the entrance then the count increments by one and, if the controller gets interrupt from the exit ,the count decrements by one. Each time the magnetic lock is released for a short time for opening the door. Upon exceeding the limit, it will automatically seal the door and prevent further entry. Seven segment display and LED indicators are interfaced with the system for visualizing the status ever y time.

Tele Security Alert

nThis is a PIC 16F84  microcontroller based TELE SECURITY ALERT which is capable of passing a pre recorded message through the telephone line to another phone, when the system detects any intruder.

n

Laser and LDR arrangement is used as the sensor here. As soon as the intruder cuts the laser beam falling on the LDR, the system triggers the control circuits and the host telephone will be in OFF HOOK condition and will get the dial tone. After 3 seconds the system will redial the remote telephone number (the number can be changed according to the convenience of the user). Then tit will wait for the response from the remote side. As soon the telephone in the remote side is off hook the system detects it by checking the polarity reversal in the line and triggers the Sound recorder/Player circuitry and the prerecorded message is then transferred to the remote side telephone. The sound recorder used here is APR 9600.The APR9600 is a good standalone voice recorder or play back IC with non volatile storage and play capability for 32 to 60 seconds

Metal Detector Robo

This android has been integrated with a sound intensity indicator and a metal detector, which has been combined through a micro controller such that an alarm sounded upon triggering of either. PIC16F84 is the key element in this circuit. It is capable of traveling through a predefined random path and will search any metallic object as well as checks the noise level along the path. The metal detector used here is an inductive proximity sensor which is able to detect any metallic object placed in the vicinity of the sensor. Upon detecting the metallic object the sensor gives a high in the control output terminal. The sound level detector is based on LM 3914 which consists of ADC and decoder. The decoder outputs
gives indication of the sound level. We can choose the peak noise level out of these outputs. Upon reaching any of these two interrupts the it will stop the very place where it has been got the interrupt and will give alert up to when the metallic object is removed or the sound level is reduced below the peak value. Then it will continue the search.

Obstacle Detection/Avoidance Robo

This robot can function as a watchdog for a specific region. PIC 16F84A is used as the control unit. Infrared Transmitter and receiver as the sensing element here. On receiving the signal from the IR receiver the microcontroller gives control signal to each motor for turning to the opposite direction. The IR signal used here is 38KHz. which set by using OPAMS. L293 is used as the motor driver for the dc motor used here.  Programmed in MPLAB.

Welcome!

I am so passionate to Electronics and love doing projects/experiments related to Electronics, especially Robbotics. During the  course of Engineering, we, a few friends  have decided to do experiments of our own. Thereafter we have actively participated in quite a number of technical copmpetitions conducted all over the country. Thanks to my friends- Cecil Wilson, Bijesh Balakrishnan, Renju Jose, Prabin K. Prince, Bejoy N. Pushpakaran, also my course project team members Binoy Jose,Indu T.J, Satheesh Saghar, B induMani(Intelligent Walking Robot), Sapna Vasudevan, Tintu Mary schariah, Senthil Kumar, Priyanka Susan George(Voice controlled Whellchair)- for their immense support and encouragement. I would also like to thank all my teachers at Model Engineering college, without their support and encouragement these never would have been a reality.

Here i would like to include some of the interesting  projects  i have done (alone or with my friends) during my Engineering-( or before or after the course). Also wish to include  my experiments in my small laboratory. Hope these will motivate the students those who are really interested in Electronics.

So i welcome all Electronics/Robotics enthusiasts to go through these pages and drop in your valuable suggestion and comments. Those who would like to discuss  similar projects also may consider this as a discussion forum....
